Got a chance to skype with my brotha Sy in San Diego on his birthday today!! So good to see and converse with him. So thankful for another year as he said to be alive. Thank you Nicole for setting it up! She planned the best friend video appointment and Sy had no idea so it was a great surprise for him!!
i want the simple life, a love for all the basic things and a need for none of them. and in this life of mine i will keep along my side a lasting happiness. and this i shall be at rest at last and content finally. i want to learn great things, but still see the significance in the smallest of details. each day will be breathtaking, i find myself constantly surprised by each ordinary thrill. and then i can get the joke in each of life’s ironic twists. though i haven’t found yet what i’m looking for it’s alright because i believe there’s something more. and it’s fine that what i want may someday change, as long as i know that i don’t know then all will be okay. i want to have some money but only just enough to be financially secure, enough to be made set free from life’s responsibilities and travel around this world. and then find a home, a little place and love to call my own.

i love and miss you bro.
to love and be loved.
my favorite schroeder song. from how it is composed and arranged instrumentally/lyrically (meant to be played out in 3 movements), to the feeling i get playing it live. we typically ended our performances/gigs with this composition as this was a crowd favorite. this was our longest but most complete song (in my opinion). this performance was during the holiday season of ‘06 when we were promoting the release of our 3rd album “soldiers and ballerinas,” this song however was off our debut ep “the aria disk” recorded in the summer of ‘03.
so·na·ta
[suh-nah-tuh]
–noun Music .
a composition for one or two instruments, typically in three or four movements in contrasted forms and keys.
scribbled-in-sonata
(1st movement)
you told me that you miss me as the days been counting how i wish for that to be untrue for that entails my absence but not in my compassion for i confess i miss you too you make me so happy that’s all that really matters my heart beats so slowly we shouldn’t have to justify our answers from the scribbles i write to the poems i recite none seem to reach their peak and i don’t ever question the lengths of my intentions for it’s just how i feel you make me so happy that’s all that really matters my heart beats so slowly we shouldn’t have to justify our answers to anyone and you’re still my answer a reply to mixed patterns that break apart from this use and you saved me from my habits and from the senseless static what i want is you
(2nd movement)
come and take my hand and never let it go or lie to me and say you never will and if you took it back and tucked it in your clothes i will be tempted to ask you for it still let’s cancel all our plans let’s both make it so we’ll be basking in silence because we got time to kill these problems that we have no longer have such hold because between great faults are the compacts we fill never let me go
(3rd movement)
clear tonight we trace the stars align the light that travels far they bless our eyes with their brilliance they sparkle shimmer laying stretched out on the shore just as lovers have laid before and playing scenes we dreamt of this and whisper heartfelt sentences you make me so happy

Clip from This is Michael Buble
Just watch…
had to reblog this. michael buble is one of my favorite musicians not only because of him as a singer, but as a person as well. fortunate enough to meet this modern day frank sinatra… keeping standards alive and music real as well as the content of his character in a fabricated business.
the beginning to an end.
